Tom Valentine discusses Canadian LNG projects and how they
compare to LNG projects in other parts of the world, namely the
U.S., in a podcast interview with DMG Events. DMG Events is
managing the Canada LNG Export Forum in Calgary this September.
Tom discusses the similarities and differences between Canadian
and U.S. LNG projects and whether or not they are competing with
each other. He then goes on to discuss LNG projects in East Africa
and Australia, and compares them to LNG projects in Canada and the
U.S. Tom finishes with an overview of Canada's likelihood of
being launched as one of the world's top leading LNG exporters.
Canada has robust gas reserves, a strong legal and regulatory
regime, and a pool of talent capable of developing gas reserves,
but it also has modest LNG export experience and challenges with
pipeline infrastructure. Tom explains that Canada must work quickly
to develop and advance LNG projects in order to be a leader on the
world's LNG stage.
Tom Valentine will be moderating a panel discussion entitled,
'Comparing U.S. and Canadian LNG projects' at the Canada
LNG Export Forum on September 17 to 19, 2013 in Calgary.
