Richard Taylor has been re-appointed as Deputy Commissioner, Civil Matters branch, the Commissioner of Competition, John Pecman, announced recently. Mr Taylor has been with the Bureau since 1983, and has served in numerous senior management positions. He is well-prepared for the job, having previously served as Deputy Commissioner of the Civil Matter Branch for many years.

As Deputy Commissioner, Civil Matters branch, Mr Taylor will oversee enforcement of provisions of the Competition Act dealing with abuse of dominance, exclusive dealing, tied selling, refusal to deal, and anti-competitive agreements.
