Effective today, Ontario's employers are required to post the Ministry of Labour's new safety poster, "Health and Safety at Work – Prevention Starts Here".   The poster is available in 17 languages and is available free of charge for downloading and printing on the Ministry of Labour's website.  Employers are required by Section 25(1) of the OHSA to post a copy of the poster in both English and the majority language of the workplace.

In its online bulletin, the Ministry of Labour states that the poster "summarizes workers' health and safety rights and responsibilities and the responsibilities of employers and supervisors.  It also reminds employers that they must not take action against workers for following the Act or for raising workplace health and safety concerns, and seeking enforcement of the OHSA."
