As we previously reported, the federal government has amended the federal Renewable Fuels Regulations to mandate a 2% renewable content for diesel fuel and heating oil sold in Canada.

On June 29, 2011, Environment Minister Peter Kent announced that, as expected, the amendments would come into force and have effect on July 1, 2011.
