Despite efforts in Brazil to update regulations surrounding outsourcing, across Latin America outsourcing policies remain restrictive and companies must be careful not to infringe labour laws by outsourcing the wrong kind of work, according to delegates at LACCA’s regional meeting in Miami.

With commodity prices continuing to slide, many companies in Latin America are looking to cut costs and outsource areas of their businesses. Many Latin American companies already outsource part of their activities, especially for call centre operations or manual labour and  demand for outsourcing in more skilled areas, such as business process outsourcing (BPO) and cloud computing services, is also growing.
