On August 6, 2013, the Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP, in the Portuguese acronym), by means of Resolution 30/2013, regulated the activity of biodiesel production in Brazil, which is subject to prior and express authorization of ANP.

On August 6, 2013, the Brazilian National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP, in the Portuguese acronym), by means of Resolution 30/2013, regulated the activity of biodiesel production in Brazil, which is subject to prior and express authorization of ANP.

Technical Regulation ANP 2/2013, which integrates the Resolution, sets the technical requirements for the construction of new units, expansion of production capacity, modification of existing plants and operation of producing plants.

The document contains the criteria and procedures for the authorization of the relevant activities in three phases: authorization for production; authorization for operation; and sales authorization.
