The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Supply (MAPA) created a working group (WG) to analyze the maritime transport of cargo between Brazilian ports.
The working group will be composed by members of the Ministry of Transport, Office of the President´s Chief of Staff, and Special Secretariat of Ports.
The working group will address the following topics: pilotage services, bureaucracy in coastwise traffic, comparison of fuel costs in coastwise navigation, and road haulage, tax relief proposals, including the ICMS levied on marine fuel.
