Minister silent over $266,000 payout for health boss
'scapegoat'
Taxpayers have forked out more than a quarter of a million
dollars in "termination expenses" for a senior health
bureaucrat as the Palaszczuk government remains tight-lipped about
why he was fired. Stephen Ayre, the former chief executive of Metro
South Hospital and Health Service, was sacked by the health
service's board in April amid the ongoing Queensland Health
fiasco (03 October 2019).

Kay Boisen is being sued by Queensland Health because of
an administration error over her long-service leave payment. The
union says she could be among hundreds of nurses who've been

WorkCover Queensland: Medical items table of costs -
2019 annual review
WorkCover Queensland will again review and update the
table of costs for medical treatment applicable for workers'
compensation in Queensland on 1 December 2019. We will adopt the
Medical Benefits Schedule item numbers, explanations, definitions,
rules and conditions for services provided by medical practitioners
and will review the fee applicable for workers' compensation.
The updated table of costs will be available on our website prior
to 1 December 2019.
