New versions of the approved forms under the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003 (Qld) have been issued effective 1 July 2009. Park owners and operators should make sure they use the new versions from now on. The new versions of the approved forms are available online from the Office of Fair Trading.
HopgoodGanim Lawyers received the following letter from Mr David Ford, Commissioner for Fair Trading, dated 29 July 2009.
Dear Mr Pitt
I am writing to inform you of recent changes which have been made to approved form numbers 1-9 for the Manufactured Homes (Residential Parks) Act 2003.
As you may be aware, due to the recent machinery-of- Government changes, the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation now administers the Act. Changes to the approved forms reflect these new arrangements.
In addition, form 1 'Home Owners Information Document'; form 2 'Site Agreement'; and form 8 'Form of Assignment (Transfer)' now allow for a company name to be inserted in the park owner details sections.
Notification of the approved forms was printed in Queensland Government Gazette Vol. 351, No. 65 at page 827 on 26 June 2009 and may be viewed online at www.bookshop.qld.gov.au
The new versions of the approved forms are available online from the Office of Fair Trading website at www.fairtrading.qld.gov.au or at any Office of Fair Trading. Interactive versions of the approved forms will also be available online by 31 July 2009.
I trust this information is of assistance.
Yours sincerely
David Ford
