The CFTC proposal to codify the agency's process for
terminating exemptive relief granted to non-U.S. firms to offer
non-U.S. futures and options directly to U.S. customers was published in the Federal Register. Comments
must be received by August 5, 2019.
As previously covered, the proposal
would amend CFTC
Rule 30.10 ("Petitions for exemption") to codify the
grounds on which the CFTC may terminate such relief, and would
provide a process for non-U.S. regulators to use to respond to any
such CFTC action.
