The U.S. Senate confirmed the nomination of Elad L. Roisman to be a Commissioner of the SEC. Mr. Roisman, who was nominated by President Donald J. Trump, serves as Chief Counsel to the Senate Banking Committee. Prior to that, Mr. Roisman was counsel to former SEC Commissioner Daniel Gallagher. He also served as Chief Counsel at NYSE Euronext.

Commentary / Steven Lofchie

Mr. Roisman is an excellent addition to the Commission in that he, like Commissioner Peirce, has a significant interest in market regulation, as well as in capital regulation.
