Recently, the Association of National Advertisers ("ANA") announced that it is acquiring the Word of Mouth Marketing Association.  

This is another step by the ANA to broaden its reach through the acquisition of other trade associations.  In 2013, the ANA acquired the Brand Activation Association (previously known as the Promotion Marketing Association).
