August 24, 2017 – Saskatchewan immigration officials have moved to increase 2017 application thresholds for the two most popular categories of the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP).
As of August 22, 2017, the SINP Express Entry category will accept a further 900 applications, increasing the 2017 threshold from 1,700 to 2,600. Meanwhile, the SINP Occupations In Demand category will accept 300 more applications, with the threshold rising to 3,300 from 3,000.
The increases reflect the popularity of both streams, neither of which require a job offer. Saskatchewan immigration officials open both categories periodically throughout the year, with application places always snapped up quickly.
