The U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry voted unanimously to advance three nominees to serve as Commissioners of the CFTC. The vote to advance Rostin Behnam, Brian D. Quintenz, and Dawn DeBerry Stump moves the confirmation process to the full Senate for a final vote. Mr. Quintenz and Ms. Stump are Republicans, and Mr. Behnam is a Democrat (see previous coverage).

In a joint statement, Committee Chair Pat Roberts (R-KS) and Ranking Member Debbie Stabenow (D-MI) expressed support for the nominees: "We all agree that the CFTC needs a full Commission. We're pleased our Committee has done its work to get these nominees through in a bipartisan manner."
