At the 2016 annual meeting, FINRA announced the results of its nominations proceedings for new Board Governors. Small firms elected one Governor and FINRA named two public Governors to its Board of Governors.

Bob Muh, Chief Executive Officer, Sutter Securities, Inc. was elected as a Small Firm Governor, one of three representatives of small firms now on the Board of Governors.

The Board appointed two new public governors whose terms will begin as of the annual meeting:

  • Eileen Murray, co-CEO of Bridgewater Associates; and
  • Hillary Sale, Walters D. Coles Professor of Law at Washington University in St. Louis Law School.

During this annual meeting, the following four public governors were reappointed to second terms that begin as of the annual meeting:

Luis M. Viceira, George E. Bates Professor at the Harvard Business School and Senior Associate Dean for International Development.
