March 17, 2016 – Starting June 1, 2016, the Mobilité Francophone stream will exempt employers from the Labour Market Impact Assessment process when they hire francophone workers in managerial, professional and technical/skilled trades' occupation to work in francophone minority communities outside of Quebec.  This program will be a real advantage to francophone foreign workers who plan to work outside of Quebec, and to their employers who wish to hire these individuals in certain occupations very quickly and possibly without much notice.  The goal of the Mobilité Francophone stream is to have francophone newcomers make up at least 4% of all economic immigrants settling outside of Quebec by 2018.

No details regarding this program have been released as yet; however, we will announce more information when the Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship makes this information public.
