The Saucon Valley School Board and its teachers' union have reached a tentative agreement, potentially ending four years of contract negotiations.

"No comments will be made by the board or the teachers association about the substance of the tentative agreement until the board meeting on Tuesday evening when a joint press release will be released by the parties," said Jeffrey Sultanik, the school board labor attorney.

The school board previously shot down a neutral arbitrator's proposed settlement recommendations on August 25, but Sultanik has confirmed the two sides returned to the table prior to the union's scheduled meeting to work out a deal.
