Oregon Prohibits Employers From Requiring Employees Or Applicants To Establish And Maintain Social Media Accounts

On June 2, the Oregon governor signed a statute that prohibits employers from forcing
their employees or job applicants to have social media accounts as
a condition of employment. The law also prevents employers from
requiring employees to allow advertising on their personal social
media accounts. The law becomes effective on January 1, 2016.
