confirmed the effective date of July 9, 2015, for the final rule published on June 8, 2015. The
final rule amends the color additive regulations to expand the
permitted uses of mica-based pearlescent pigments prepared from
titanium dioxide and mica as color additives in cordials, liqueurs,
flavored alcoholic malt beverages, wine coolers, cocktails,
nonalcoholic cocktail mixers, and mixes, and in egg decorating kits
for coloring shell eggs.
