A May 19 article in Crain's Health Pulse, "Changes to Docs' Profiles," discusses a new rule that will be effective April 13, 2016 for New York physicians. Under the new rule, when there are changes to certain required information regarding a physician, he or she will have only 30 days to update his or her physician profile on the state's website to reflect the changes. The article references Eric Fader's April 21 blog post that discussed how a physician's failure to update his or her profile as required can lead to an enforcement action.
