Since we last reported on enforcement actions in March 2015, FDA
posted a notice from the N.C. Board of Pharmacy regarding the
recall of certain lots of compounded pharmaceutical products. The
notice does not identify specific contaminations but attributes the
recall to general concerns about a North Carolina-based
pharmacy's ability to ensure the sterility and potency of
compounded products distributed in all 50 states. Separately, FDA
announced another company's voluntary recall of certain IV
solutions used in hemodialysis after samples were found
contaminated with particulate matter. There were no recent recalls
of medical devices posted on FDA's website.
