In the September 18, 2014, Federal Register, USDA issued a final rule
amending the fruits and vegetables regulations to allow the
importation of mangoes from Jamaica into the continental United
States. As a condition of entry, the mangoes will be subject to
safety systems and measures to mitigate the risks of fruit flies.
The rule is effective October 20, 2014.
