On Thursday, January 7th, 2016, the Federal Official Gazette published the Technical Provisions for the use of associated natural gas in the exploration and extraction of hydrocarbons.
The main objective of theses Technical Provisions is to set forth the technical and operational elements that shall define the goal for associated natural gas use by holders of assignation titles and hydrocarbons exploration and extraction contracts, including the limits applicable to its venting and/or flaring.
