President Joseph R. Biden nominated Saule Omarova to serve as Comptroller of the Currency.
Ms. Omarova is currently the Beth and Marc Goldberg Professor of Law at Cornell University, where she focuses on the regulation of systemic risk and structural trends in financial markets. Previously, Ms. Omarova was the George R. Ward Associate Professor of Law at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also served as Special Advisor for Regulatory Policy to the Under Secretary for Domestic Finance at Treasury and practiced law with a financial services law firm in New York.
