The amount of digital data in our lives is increasing day by day. Accordingly, we witness that these data is included in the scope of inspections of competition authorities around the world at an increasing rate day by day. The situation may result in inspection of computers and mobile communication devices we use daily. The processes such as acquiring images of data which result in the inclusion of unstructured data in the scope of the inspections, cause issues such as violation of privacy to be brought to the agenda. Competition Law and investigations within the scope of the law are among the similar issues that we witness in Turkey. In this part of Core Papers, we discuss in detail how different competition authorities and Turkish Competition Authority handle the issue.

The content of this article is intended to provide a general guide to the subject matter. Specialist advice should be sought about your specific circumstances.
