Sara Tonnies Horton, Co-Chair of Willkie's IP Litigation Practice Group, has been shortlisted for "Litigator of the Year – Illinois" at the Managing IP Americas Awards 2024.

Managing IP recognized Sara's leadership and achievements in major patent litigation and technology-related litigation matters. She has extensive experience in high-stakes disputes before trial courts across the country as well as the Federal Circuit and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board. Her recent successes include winning a patent infringement jury verdict – and securing enhanced damages – for food processing equipment manufacturer Provisur Technologies in a multi-patent case against Weber Maschinenbau GmbH and Weber, Inc. She is also lead counsel for a global pharmaceutical company in patent litigation related to COVID-related technologies.
