Cincinnati, Ohio (February 13, 2024) - Cincinnati Managing Partner Judd Uhl and Partner Andrew Weber obtained a favorable jury verdict in an admitted liability case for a national trucking carrier in Hamilton County, Ohio.

The lawsuit stemmed from a significant rear-end collision in a construction zone. The plaintiff claimed multiple surgeries related to the accident, lost wages, loss of future earning potential, future medical expenses, and pain and suffering. In closing, the plaintiff’s attorney suggested the jury return a multimillion-dollar verdict for the plaintiff.

Thoughout the trial, Mr. Uhl and Mr. Weber highlighted the plaintiff’s significant preexisting conditions, which necessitated the claimed surgeries and the limitations concerning the plaintiff’s claimed damages. Following the 10-day trial, the jury returned a verdict identical to Uhl and Weber’s forecasted jury verdict award, as reported to the client in their pretrial evaluations.

Mr. Uhl, a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) and the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys (ADTA), specializes in the defense of catastrophic injury and death claims. He has obtained successful results and verdicts throughout the United States in dozens of cases involving wrongful death, products liability, premises liability, trucking, bad faith, long-term care, and malpractice.
