Tunisia: Filing Requirements in Tunisia

Please note that all Powers of Attorney should be completed in the name of the following signatory: Amjad Al-Amad of Abu-Ghazaleh Intellectual Property-TMP Agents P.O.Box 44, 1013 El-Menzah 9, Tunisia

1.A simply signed power of attorney.

2.Three prints and one positive film of the mark.

3.The list of the goods and/or the services covered by the application in French.

4.A certified copy of the priority document must be submitted, in case it is claimed.

2.The number, date and list of the goods of the trademark registration.

2.Three copies of the specification in French or Arabic.

3.Three sets of the formal drawings, one on Bristol board and one on tracing cloth.

4.A certified copy of the basic application is required when filing a convention application. The priority document should be submitted within 60 days as from the date of application.

If the assignee applies, it is preferable to file the deed of assignment of priority right signed by the holder of the basic application.

1.A power of attorney legalized up to the Tunisian Consulate.

2.Four representations (photocopies, photographs or drawings) of the design.

3.Four copies of the inscription (if necessary).

Note: The Tunisian authorities accept applications and documents in French or Arabic.

2.A legalized deed of the assignment executed by the assignor and assignee together with its sworn French or Arabic translation.

2.A duly legalized license agreement executed and sealed by both parties together with its sworn French or Arabic translation.

2.A certificate proving the change of name or an extract from the Commercial Register translated into French or Arabic.
