Europe: How to Take the Sting out of Merger Filing Preparation and How to Avoid Competition Pitfalls in JV Structures

Vincent Mussche, competition partner and merger control specialist at Brussels based law firm Liedekerke, will first present very practical tips and tricks to effectively tackle the traditional challenges that come with merger filing preparation, including guidance on notification strategy, document creation management, SPA drafting tips and use of clean teams. As the presentation will focus on merger filings with the European Commission, Vincent will also run us through the envisaged reform of the EU Merger control rules. Vincent Mussche
Vincent is a seasoned antitrust lawyer with significant expertise in successfully managing local and global complex multijurisdictional merger filings/cartel investigations, State aid cases and the development and implementation of tailored competition compliance programs. From 2019 onwards, Vincent has been selected as a future leader of international competition practice in the Who's Who Legal Competition law survey conducted in conjunction with Global Competition Review and which lists the foremost practitioners in the competition community aged under 45. Vincent specialised in European law at the College of Europe, Bruges (Master Degree in European Law).
