Our Webinar will take a look at some employment law hot topics in Italy at the moment and compare them to what's happening in two other key jurisdictions: the UK and the US.

A year on from Italy's blanket redundancy ban due to Covid-19, we'll discuss the effects on Italian businesses and whether such a drastic step, completely out-of-step with the rest of the world, could have been avoided, by looking at what measures other countries have implemented to protect their workforce.

Global economic recovery will largely depend on the swift roll-out, and high uptake, of the vaccine. This begs the question of whether employers can make it mandatory for their people to get the jab. We shall hear from our three panelists on the Anglo-Saxon vs. the European approach to this thorny issue and whether the anti-vaxxers can be dismissed for refusing to be vaccinated.

The third and connected topic is remote working: a passing pandemic fad, or here to stay? Italian employers were behind the curve in allowing (read trusting) their teams to working from home. The pandemic catapulted the country into a new era of agile working as the norm, a cultural shift that would have otherwise taken a decade! Will it become an established right post-Covid?
