On January 22, 2018, Senior Associate Matthew Galati  was quoted in  "E-Verify Loses Reauthorization Amid Government Shutdown,'" printed in Bloomberg BNA (Paywall).

Published during the three-day lapse in appropriations and reauthorization of several programs, Matt opined on the struggles employers faced earlier this week. Matt also discussed the interplay between fee-funded programs which largely proceeded without interruption and Department of Labor related filings which were momentarily halted.

As we have discussed previously, the U.S. government resumed its operations on January 23. E-Verify, the EB-5 Regional Center Program, Conrad 30, and Special Immigrant Religious Worker Visas were also resumed. Reauthorizations and federal funding are currently in place through February 8.

Founded in 1929, Bloomberg BNA is a nationally-distributed publication featuring articles on legal, tax, regulatory, and business information for professionals.
