On February 14, U.S. Secretary of Energy Rick Perry announced the creation of the Office of
Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response
("CESER") at the U.S. Department of Energy. CESER will be
led by an Assistant Secretary, yet to be named, and the office will
focus on energy infrastructure security and support the
department's newly assigned national security
responsibilities.
