SEC Approves Amendments To FINRA's Arbitration Procedures

The SEC approved amendments to FINRA's arbitration
procedures. The amendments charge parties who request a
cancellation within three business days of the scheduled hearing a
$100 pre-arbitrator fee. In turn, FINRA will pay each arbitrator
due to attend a canceled prehearing conference a $100 fee. The
amendments are effective for cases filed on or after October 29,
2018.
