On December 6, 2019, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services finalized a change to the H-1B lottery process that had been over a year in the making:  electronic registration. Starting with the FY 2021 Cap season, employers wishing to sponsor foreign employees for H-1B visas will need to register through a new electronic system in lieu of filing a petition upfront.
