According to a finalized rule from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), petitioning employers will need to pay a $10 non-refundable fee for each H-1B electronic registration. This final rule is effective on Dec. 9, 2019.
Employers will pay the fee once USCIS finalizes the electronic system, which USCIS intends to implement for the upcoming Fiscal Year 2021 H-1B cap season.
According to USCIS, petitioners seeking to file H-1B visa petitions will need to electronically register during a designated registration period. Employers will pay the $10 fee when registrations are submitted.
USCIS is currently still testing the system and has not made a final announcement regarding electronic registration.
