In the Birmingham Employment Tribunal, Ms Taylor, who identifies as gender-fluid, successfully argued that she had suffered harassment and discrimination because of gender reassignment. The remedies hearing has now taken place and Ms Taylor has been awarded £180,000 in compensation.
The tribunal's full written reasons in respect of its decision and a breakdown of the compensation amount are yet to be published.
