Taylor Vinters has worked with Survey Solutions, a leading UK provider of land and measured building surveys, to secure a management buyout which sees RJD Partners, an equity investment firm, take a significant stake in the business.
As part of the deal, RJD Partners has invested alongside Survey Solutions' management team, led by founder James Cooper. James Cooper has overseen the group's organic and acquisitive led growth strategy since carving the business out of the TA Millard group through a management buyout in 2004. He is supported by his Regional Directors and co-shareholders David Bredin, Richard Glenn, Greg Norman and Paul Singleton.
The Taylor Vinters team was led by Corporate Partner, Adam Bradley, assisted by Corporate Associates, Lizzie Wilson and James Fisher.
"This is one of those deals which has been a great result for everyone", Adam Bradley commented. "Survey Solutions has considerable pedigree in this very competitive professional services sector and James and the rest of his management team have thoroughly deserved this success."
The investment marks a significant step in the continuing growth of Survey Solutions, and provides a strong base to further develop as a business.
"Taylor Vinters were an integral part of the team to deliver the investment, providing balanced considered advice, which was always clear and concise." said James Cooper, Managing Director at Survey Solutions, "The team were a pleasure to work with – always friendly, helpful and supportive."
Survey Solutions is a leading provider of land and measured building surveys to clients across the UK, delivering projects nationwide for a diverse customer base across a variety of sectors including housing development, commercial building and infrastructure, amongst others. Headquartered in Ipswich, the business has additional offices in Norwich, Brentwood, Nottingham, Coventry, Yeovil and Glasgow.
RJD Partners will work alongside the ambitious management team to continue to grow the business organically, and via acquisition. The funding and support from RJD Partners will enable Survey Solutions to continue to drive growth in the market.
"We are delighted to be backing James Cooper and the team at Survey Solutions." said Richard Caston from RJD partners, "Given the long term requirement for the UK to invest in all aspects of the built environment, particularly new homes and infrastructure, we believe the future for an ambitious and multi-service surveying business is exciting. We are particularly enthusiastic in establishing Survey Solutions as a platform from which we will support management in their strategy of making further acquisitions complementary to the current service offering."
Tom Bayne and Mitch Freinburg of Noventus Partners also added significant value in helping to bring the deal together with RJD Partners, acting as advisers to the Survey Solutions' management team.
