National Sports Council (NSC) under Ministry of Sports and Youth
Affairs is the primary sporting regulator in Bangladesh. All
sporting bodies, including BCB (Bangladesh Cricket Board), BAFOFE
(Bangladesh Football Federation), are regulated by the NSC. For any
sports to be recognised as Sports and obtain government assistance,
NSC approval is required under National Sports Council Act 1974.
