IPH, the Asia Pacific's leading intellectual property services group, comprising a network of member firms working in eight IP jurisdictions and servicing more than 25 countries, and employing more than 900 people working in Australia, China, Hong Kong SAR, Indonesia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand, recently announced the execution of a binding agreement pursuant to which Smart & Biggar will join the IPH Limited Group and the multi-jurisdictional intellectual property services that it offers. Completion is expected in September 2022 and is subject to satisfaction or waiver of closing conditions.

This large cross-border transaction represents a significant strategic move for IPH that extends IPH's international network beyond Asia Pacific and into an additional significant secondary market.
