November 2019 – Kinstellar advised STADA Arzneimittel on the acquisition of Walmark, a leading manufacturer of consumer health products in Central Europe from Mid Europa Partners for an undisclosed amount. The transaction is subject to merger control approvals in several jurisdictions.

Walmark has a unique portfolio of well-established consumer health brands across multiple categories, direct presence across nine European Union countries, including the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Bulgaria, Romania, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, and sells its products to more than 40 countries worldwide.

Kinstellar acted as lead-counsel for STADA on the transaction. The Kinstellar team was co-led by Anthony O'Connor (Partner, Budapest), Karla Rundtová (Of Counsel, Prague) and Lukáa `evčík (Partner, Prague) and involved large teams in Prague, Bratislava, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. The Polish law aspects were covered by Sołtysiński Kawecki & Szlęzak. Cobalt advised in relation to Walmark's operations in the Baltics.
