Kirkland & Ellis advised Tokio Marine HCC, a leading specialty insurance group, on its agreement to acquire GCube, a managing general agent that is one of the world's largest underwriters of renewable energy insurance covering wind, solar, bio, hydro, wave and tidal projects globally. The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval and other customary closing conditions, is expected to close in the second quarter of 2020. Financial terms were not disclosed.
