The global law firm Jones Day announces that Lisa M. Ropple, a partner in Boston, has been appointed co-leader of its worldwide Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection Practice.

Ms. Ropple joins Dan McLoon, based in Los Angeles, in setting strategy, deploying resources to best support client needs, and upholding the Firm's high client-service standards for the Practice, which includes more than 80 lawyers in Jones Day offices across five continents.

A leading data breach lawyer with more than 30 years of broad business litigation and government investigations experience, Ms. Ropple has extensive experience advising public and private companies across industries on all aspects of cyber incident and data breach response and helping them mitigate repercussions. She is skilled in helping companies navigate high-profile data breaches and complex, cross-border cyberattacks, and was among the first lawyers in the country to represent companies suffering highly publicized "mega" breaches.
