Hamilton residents and members of city council are reacting to news that convicted sex offender, Gordon Stuckless, is living in a halfway house in the city.

Stuckless, who sexually assaulted over two dozen boys over the course of three decades, was released from jail in mid-December.

His release in December follows a recent decision by the Parole Board of Canada based on an assessment of Stuckless' current and future risk to re-offend.

Loretta Merritt says, "when there is any sort of leniency granted to Stuckless, that can be very triggering" for survivors of sexual abuse.
