Lisa M. Ledbetter, partner in Jones Day's Financial Institutions Litigation & Regulation practice, has been appointed to the Executive Council of the Federal Bar Association Banking Law Section for a three-year term.
The Banking Law Section of the Federal Bar Association promotes the development of sound banking laws and policies and fosters interaction between government and private sector members of the financial services bar. The Executive Council provides a forum for the exchange of views on current banking law topics among senior professionals in the banking and consumer finance industry.
Ms. Ledbetter counsels domestic and international financial institution clients on regulatory, transactions, investigations, and enforcement issues. Her practice covers commercial and retail issues involving products and services, activities, investments, and financial technology, among other areas.
Ms. Ledbetter is a Chambers 2019 Notable Practitioner in Financial Technology. She is the exclusive recipient of the International Law Office's 2018 Client Choice Award for Banking in Washington, D.C. Ms. Ledbetter is immediate past Chancellor of the Exchequer Club of Washington, D.C., and a member of the ABA Banking Law Committee and Consumer Financial Services Committee.
