In a rare achievement, Pillsbury partner Rafi Azim-Khan has been listed as a Leading Individual in multiple categories of the 2020 Edition of The Legal 500 UK, including for Data Privacy and Cybersecurity and Technology, Media and Telecoms: Brand Management.

Notably, Azim-Khan also has been named to The Legal 500's Hall of Fame, which is the publication's highest accolade, reserved only for practitioners "who have received constant praise by their clients for continued excellence." Hall of Fame honorees must also have been recognized by The Legal 500 as an elite Leading Lawyer for a minimum of eight years in a row. The Hall of Fame accreditation "highlights, to clients, the law firm partners who are at the pinnacle of the profession," according to The Legal 500.

Azim-Khan, who leads Pillsbury's Data Privacy & Cybersecurity practice in Europe and leads the firm's global Marketing Law practice, cites "a constant focus on thought leadership, identification of new or key issues that are likely to be of most concern to clients and working up proactive solutions that can help" as keys to successfully assisting clients in proactively addressing issues impacting their business through various novel, cutting-edge approaches.

Azim-Khan has helped clients secure one of the first Binding Corporate Rules international data transfers approvals; implement risk-reduction GDPR and CCPA data programs; develop next-gen e-commerce, fintech and social media platforms; address digital advertising, e-marketing, profiling and tracking issues; and protect their IP rights. A key aspect of Azim-Khan's work also includes successfully assisting clients in avoiding major fines and negative publicity in the wake of cyber incidents, correctly reporting breaches and analyzing notifications and dealing with regulator and competitor queries and challenges.

Azim-Khan's preeminent thought leadership on these and other high-profile topics has been featured by numerous global media outlets, including Financial Times, The Times, The Telegraph, Bloomberg, City A.M. and The Economist.
