Day Pitney LLP was a proud sponsor of the 2019 Hispanic National Bar Association (HNBA)/Vision in Action (VIA) Annual Convention, which was held from September 16 to 29 in New York, NY. The event, themed "Power of the Past, Force of the Future," gathered attorneys, judges, law students and General Counsels from many Fortune 100 and other corporations from across the country. Attendees had the opportunity to take part in an engaging and comprehensive program that included Continuing Legal Education (CLE) panels on cutting edge topics, as well as network with industry professionals.

The firm sponsored the HNBA's Corporate Counsel Division Cafecito Hour, which was attended by in-house counsel. Manny-Garcia-Linares, Rachel Gonzalez and Tommy Shi provided welcome remarks at the event.

A number of Day Pitney attorneys hold and have held leadership positions within the affiliates of the HNBA, including Rachel Gonzalez, who is a former co-president of the Hispanic Bar Association of New Jersey. For the Connecticut Hispanic Bar Association, Marie Bertrand is the immediate past president; Patricia Jimenez is president-elect; and Rosendo Garza is the former treasurer. For the New Jersey Hispanic Bar Association, Alba Aviles is press secretary, succeeding Rachel Gonzalez, and Arianna Mouré is a trustee.
