Global law firm Clyde & Co was named 'Specialist Law Firm of the Year' at the African Legal Awards 2019 hosted in Johannesburg last week.
The accolade highlights the firm's growing position in Africa and recognises its standing as the leading international insurance firm in the region. In the past 12 months, the firm bolstered its South African insurance practice with key partner hires and also advised on a series of headline matters, including representing Santam in an action for damages in excess of USD150 million against the directors of Africa Bank Investments for a breach of fiduciary duties.
