The program will be held every Wednesday throughout October in one of five locations: Asheville, Greenville, New Bern, Raleigh, and Wilmington.

The Breakfast and Learn Series are designed for human resources professionals, such as human resource directors and managers, in-house employment attorneys, and corporate controllers with human resources responsibilities.  Each event begins at 7:30 a.m. with registration and networking, followed by a presentation, given by a Ward and Smith labor and employment attorney, on emerging employment law trends including:

  • LGBT Issues
  • DOL New Overtime Rule, and Other US DOL Developments
  • #MeToo

The Breakfast and Learns are pre-approved for HRCI and SHRM continuing education credits.  The North Carolina State Bar Board of Continuing Legal Education, through its Accreditation Committee, has approved this symposium for CLE activity.  Any North Carolina attorney attending will receive 1.5 hour(s) of CLE credit.

There is no fee to attend but advance registration is required. To sign-up, send an email to rsvp@wardandsmith.com with your contact information and the date of the event you want to attend.
