Angky Banggaditya, an associate at SSEK Indonesian Legal Consultants, recently spoke at a workshop for law students at Diponegoro University, in Semarang, Central Java.

The workshop, Jessup 101, was organized by the International Moot Court Department at the Diponegoro University Faculty of Law. It introduced students to the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. The Jessup Moot is the oldest and largest international moot competition in the world, attracting participants from hundreds of law schools from more than 90 countries.

Angky spoke about his participation in the 2017 Jessup Moot and the experience he gained in performing legal research and writing, and how that experience helped him make a successful transition from law student to corporate lawyer at SSEK.

The Jessup 101 workshop was attended by approximately 50 students, ranging from first-year to final year students, and the discussion was very interactive.

SSEK regularly offers internship opportunities to Indonesian law students who advance to the international rounds of the Jessup Moot, in Washington, DC.
