CLEVELAND (July 31, 2019) - Cleveland partner Jazmyn Stover and associate Brittany Brantley have been recognized by The National Black Lawyers (NBL) for their success in and contributions to the legal community. Jazmyn has been selected for inclusion in the 2019 Top 100 Lawyers List and Brittany has been selected for inclusion in the 2019 Top 40 Under 40 Lawyers List. The lists, published annually, honor the top 100 attorneys from each state and the top 40 attorneys under the age of 40 in each state who excel in their profession and promote diversity.
Jazmyn joined Fisher Phillips in March 2019. She focuses her practice on advising clients on critical workplace issues that develop at the intersection of business and employment law. Jazmyn helps private and public employers in the health care, hospitality, real estate and retail industries prevent employment-related risks by emphasizing proactive workforce management. When issues do arise, she has extensive experience assisting clients with workplace-related matters such as employment discrimination, wage and hour issues, unfair competition and contract disputes. Jazmyn has defended clients before administrative agencies, including the State Employment Relations Board, the Department of Labor, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, as well as in state and federal courts.
Brittany regularly represents employers in traditional labor matters before both state and federal courts and administrative agencies. In addition to her litigation and advocacy practice, she also proactively counsels her clients on achieving their business goals and avoiding potential litigation. Brittany's foresight and solution-based approach enables her to counsel and advise employers on every day employment issues related to hiring and discharge decisions, discrimination, medical leave, wage and hour compliance, and unfair competition.
